Traditionally Value Analysis is applied to
manufacturing or construction. However, Value Analysis techniques can also be
applied to non-traditional projects such as business organizational structures,
document control, operational procedures, safety procedures, etc.
Key Benefits
 | Value Management allows the analysis of an organizational structure
procedure, etc., in a rigorous non-threatening manner. It allows the
participants to focus "on the issues not personalities" |
 | A formal Value Management study provides great documentation of the
results without placing blame |

Proposed Strategies For Meeting The Future
Fabrication Facility Needs For The DOE's Hanford Site
-
This Value Engineering (VE) study focused on what
approach or series of options would be in the best interest of the Hanford
Site for the present and future management of fabrication support.
Prior to the VE study, all of the site contractors were surveyed to
determine their respective fabrication needs. The survey findings were
analyzed to establish a projection of the present and anticipated future
fabrication requirements.
